From the 1st July 2007, the smoking ban comes into effect in England.  Xtracs have introduced these pages to give advice and guidance on your responsibilities

DO

• Ensure any doors from the no smoking area to the smoking area are mechanically closed.

• Remove any ash trays from the no smoking area.

• Ensure smoke from the smoking area does not invade the no smoking areas.

• Establish clear boundaries.

DO Not

• Turn a blind Eye (Current fines are levied at £2000.

• Allow Clients or Staff to prop open the doors leading from non-smoking areas to smoking areas
